Airthings CEO joins Digital Trends to discuss air quality monitoring

Airthings CEO and radon and indoor air quality expert, Øyvind Birkenes joined Digital Trends to discuss home air quality monitoring. The video was streamed live from Airthings HQ in Norway, to the United States where Digital Trends is based. In the fascinating interview, Birkenes dives into the key pollutants that can contaminate the air in your home.

Amongst other things, Birkenes discusses why air quality is often overlooked. He explains “The key thing, if you look at CO [Carbon monoxide] poisoning or house fires, those are immediate dangers that you have to run out of the house from. With radon, this is long term exposure... It is dangerous over time”, so it doesn’t get as much attention.
