Great ideas throughout the day

Maintain peak productivity levels

When carbon dioxide levels rise you may begin to feel tired or have problems concentrating. Keep CO2 under control and get the most out for your day.

Air quality control

Monitor the air around you

Carbon Dioxide (CO2)

When it reaches high levels indoors, carbon dioxide (CO2) can cause poor sleep and trouble concentrating.

Temperature

Temperature is not just a matter of comfort, it can negatively affect sleep quality, mood, and alertness.

Airborne chemicals (VOCs)

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are airborne chemicals emitted by everyday items - many are harmless but some are toxic.

Air pressure

Changes in air pressure affect radon levels and, for some, they can trigger headaches, joint stiffness and pain.

Humidity

High humidity promotes mold growth and aggravates asthma symptoms, while too-dry air can lead to skin and throat irritation.

... and environmental factors

Ambient noise icon Ambient noise

Identify trends and anomalies by measuring the level of ambient noise reported in decibels A (dBA).

Light icon Light

Frequently asked questions

Where should I place the monitor for the best results?

You can use Wave Enhance in any room indoors where you want to better understand your air quality. Because it measures carbon dioxide - a key factor affecting sleep quality and the ability to focus, we think itā€™s a great option for bedrooms and home offices. For best results, avoid placing it within 3 ft / 90 cm of vents, fans, windows or doors - sources of ventilation that can skew the readings. Itā€™s also a good idea to place the device in the room near to where people spend time and at an average breathing height - and never higher than 6 ft (200 cm). Place it on a surface using the fold-out table stand or use the screw or use the double-sided tape strips (included) to mount it on a wall.

Can I check my live Wave Enhance air quality readings in the app from anywhere?

No (but itā€™s possible!). Letā€™s explain. Wave Enhance is equipped with Bluetooth and syncs the air quality data it collects to your app only when your phone is within Bluetooth range (about 30ft or 10m) and the app is opened. On its own, itā€™s not connected to the Internet for anytime access. However, if you also have a View Plus or other View series monitor, it can act as an Internet hub for your Wave Enhance. Just plug your View monitor into a power outlet (using the cable provided) to activate the hub, then use the Airthings app to link Wave Enhance to the hub. With internet connectivity, not only will you be able to access live readings from anywhere, but you will also receive timely notifications when air quality declines. Plus, you can use smart home systems like IFTTT or Homey to create home automation flows using sensor readings as triggers.

Does Wave Enhance record sound?

No. It doesnā€™t record sound of any kind. The information it collects is intended to measure the level of consistent background noise in decibels (dBA). Hereā€™s how it works: The sound level sensor takes a measurement every 6 seconds for a duration of 60 milliseconds. This measurement is taken as a value in decibels (dBA). The individual sound level measurements are then added to others to form average sound levels. These give you a good idea of the average level of background noise experienced in the room. This also means that loud, sudden, isolated noises that may occur are unlikely to be reflected in your average sound levels.

Will I have accurate measurements from day 1?

The VOC sensor needs to adjust to the environment during the first week. Readings during this first week may be erratic - donā€™t worry, this is expected. The rest of the sensors, carbon dioxide (CO2), humidity, temperature and air pressure, are ready from day 1.
