Frequently asked questions

Why would I need two devices?

An air quality monitor can only accurately measure the air in one room. So if you want to know what the air quality is in two rooms, for example your living room and bedroom, we would advise two have a monitor in both rooms.

How will I know what to do if I will have a problem?

You can view your air quality data from anywhere in the Airthings app. We also send you push notifications through our app to alert you if any aspect of your indoor air is unhealthy. You can wave over your air quality monitor and it will inform you if any aspect of your air quality in unhealthy via a traffic light indication system.

How will I know how to improve my indoor air quality?

Through the Airhtings, we can give you bespoke and practical advice on how to remedy some of your air quality problems as they arise. Often the solutions are simple, like opening a window or door, turning on a kitchen fan, or increasing the intensity of an air purifier. Whatever your air quality issue, there is a solution and you can use your air quality monitor to benchmark the changes you make to know if your health is headed in the right direction.

Where should I place my device?

Ideally you want to place your air quality monitors close to where you are breathing but at least 3 feet from you. Be careful not to place your devices too close to windows as this may give you innacurate readings.
