Does your workplace have good air? You don’t know until you measure it. Now a new partnership with Airthings will make it simpler for customers of Nimway—the workplace occupancy solution from Sony—to monitor the indoor climate of their office buildings and identify problem areas.

Sony works with strategic partners to give customers even more value when they use the Nimway solution. By visualizing office occupancy, Nimway makes it easier to manage a dynamic office space. With Nimway, companies can measure facts about their workplace with sensor data, identify problems within the facility with analytics, and use the workplace quickly and effectively through supportive digital experiences.

Airthings, a leader in indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring, provides IAQ devices that are quick to install in workplaces. Now, their devices can be incorporated into Nimway. All the sensor data from Airthings—about air quality, temperature, humidity, and more—can be viewed directly in a Nimway office space analytics dashboard, as well as in the employee applications.

“It's fantastic to partner with Sony Nimway on this project to provide Airthings to people at Storebrand's HQ in Lysaker Park. Good indoor air quality is fundamental to employee well-being, and their productivity," said Emma Tryti, CEO of Airthings. "The Nimway solution from Sony and Airthings will also make life easier for facility managers there, who can now monitor their building's air from one central location. These insights help them proactively manage issues as they arise, ensuring spaces are appropriately ventilated based on demand to maximize building efficiency and occupant comfort.”

The partnership will kick off with an installation of Nimway and Airthings at the Oslo headquarters of Storebrand, the leading Nordic financial group. Storebrand will use the solution from Nimway together with Airthings sensors to understand how indoor air quality impacts their workplaces and identify workplace problems easier. That way, facility managers can take quick action to improve safety and well-being at the office.

"Our partnership with Airthings marks a great step in creating smarter, healthier, and more responsive workplaces. Integrating Airthings' advanced air quality monitoring with Nimway's workplace analytics will give our customers an even more holistic view of their premises. Together, we’re setting a new standard for safety, comfort, and productivity in office spaces,” said Sakis Theodoridis, Senior Sales Executive at Sony Nimway.

"Air quality is highly important for a facility. Airthings makes it easy to monitor. And with the Nimway analytics dashboard, we can view the data and identify if rooms have poor air quality, or if there are big differences between the rooms. This data makes it possible to spot problems, but it also gives us evidence to ensure ventilation settings are correct in the future," Sondre Nysveen, People Experiences Manager at Storebrand added.
